I have been known to produce some non-sacerdotal utterances every time my car bangs over a crater pothole in the roads in and around Glasgow. But something I read recently suggests that we shouldn’t call them craters potholes. They are ‘legacy infrastructure’. Am I crazy or are the people who invent such euphemisms?
